The fact that you are even asking the question means you should not convert to Islam....it wouldn't matter at all if it was actually serious to you, if I had to give anything up for God, (I'm a Christian) I would do it if He asked me to...I would not question.

Also, if Islam requires you to stop dancing....its definitely not something you should get involved with

Its going to be very hard to do ballet when you're all wrapped up in one of those outfits Muslim women wear.
of course you can, you just have to change your costume and style of dance (long dresses + veil and belly dancing)
if you beleive in Islam just convert to it and God will make it easy for you .. you will find a solution asking experts(sheikhs) who have right answers.
Would you really want to dance your ballet in such a jail where you have to sacrifice your free spirit ?

If Ballet is your real goal it will definitely come your way in freedom.
No...because islam asked woman to be covered from head to toe but being ballet dancer will make you show alot of your body,islam also doesn't like woman to dance in front of strangers so if you want to do so in front of girl friends,husband and parents which you won't marry from them as you can't dance infont of your cousin(boy).

You are not allowed to communicate or even have the eyes of any man on you but for your spouse, dad or brother. One of the islamic women I know said that she doesn't even make eye contact with other men because 'the eyes are beguiling'. If you could only dance in shows for women then you'd be OK. But if you dance for men then you wouldn't be OK - it's not appropriate for other men to see you.
If you believe in Islam don't make excuses to not accept it, i know many people who say openly they believe Islam is the truth, even to the point of arguing with Christians vehemently that Islam is true but they themselves wait to convert until they make more money or sleep with more women etc etc. If you truly believe then accept Islam because Allah would guide you to a straight way, whether that means giving up your old life or not. How would you feel if you died tomorrow without accepting Islam knowing it to be true? Would something from your life seem of any value anymore?
